The materials on Libreguide.org are based on 16 years of libre licensing experience from volunteer work at the Free Software Foundation's GPL Compliance Lab , developing software for the GNU project , and giving lectures on libre licensing.
The basic concepts of software freedom are explained both in the Wikipedia article on Free Software and the Free Software Foundation's introductory article on the subject.
